Job Overview AWLighting is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail oriented Sales Support Coordinator to support our Energy and Electrical Division. This role is responsible for project quotations, proposal development, bid coordination, and operational handoff. The position plays an important role in helping the company win new projects by preparing accurate turnkey lighting quotations, developing clear proposals, and coordinating with manufacturers and internal teams.

The Sales Support Coordinator will review audits, project plans, specifications, and customer requirements to develop lighting specifications, bills of material, pricing, and complete proposal packages. This person will work closely with business development, sales, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure all proposals and bids are accurate, competitive, and submitted on time.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, working in a fast paced environment, and managing multiple construction projects at once.

Responsibilities

  • Develop turnkey proposals, bids, quotations, and related project documentation for commercial lighting projects

  • Review audits, project plans, specifications, addenda, and customer requests to create accurate lighting bills of material

  • Analyze audit data and customer goals to develop competitive, all inclusive scopes of work, specifications, and project budgets that align with AWLighting’s no change order approach

  • Prepare project quotations that are competitive and appropriate for local market conditions

  • Work with manufacturers to obtain product pricing, lead times, and technical information

  • Support specified projects, value engineering opportunities, and crossover solutions

  • Prepare quotation breakdowns and supporting documentation for internal use and customer review

  • Coordinate with outside sales teams to develop bid strategies and pricing approaches

  • Track proposal deadlines and ensure all quotations are completed before bid submission

  • Maintain organized project files and supporting bid documentation

  • Communicate regularly with sales, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure smooth project handoff after award

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, customers, and outside sales teams

  • Assist with substitution requests, submittals, and technical documentation as needed

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines

  • Participate in customer facing virtual proposal presentations with the sales and business development team

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in lighting quotations, electrical estimating, or construction estimating

  • Experience preparing large project quotations and managing complex bid submissions

  • Strong understanding of commercial lighting systems and lighting controls

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, lighting fixture schedules, and specifications

  • Ability to specify lighting controls that are compatible with lighting measures, customer needs, and strategic project goals

  • Experience negotiating pricing with manufacturers and vendors

  • Strong math and analytical skills

  • Ability to make sound pricing decisions and support project profitability

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of projects

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High adaptability, strong problem solving ability, resourcefulness, and comfort working with data

  • Self motivated and accountable, with a strong commitment to customer service and excellence

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Experience with Bluebeam, Smartsheet, or other construction software preferred

  • Experience with SnapCount preferred
