As Director of Electrical Services at American Wholesale Lighting, Ben Van Etten is the driving force behind AWL’s field execution. With more than three decades in the lighting and electrical trades, Ben manages AWL’s field operations, overseeing crews, subcontractors, and major projects to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Throughout his career, Ben has led teams through complex projects across the country, including large-scale rebate programs and major infrastructure upgrades. He brings deep expertise in risk management, ensuring projects are delivered smoothly and with total peace of mind for our clients.
Since joining AWL in 2019, Ben has applied that same expertise to guide the company’s electrical services and field execution. Among his favorite work has been transforming port facilities across the West Coast, where AWL modernized outdated infrastructure without disrupting daily operations, earning repeat business and strong client testimonials.
Ben’s philosophy is simple: listen to the client, deliver beyond expectations, and let performance speak for itself. “Your customer is your report card,” he says. “If you deliver what they need, and better than they expect, you’ll never have to go looking for work.”
